Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient, which means the body cannot make its own and it must be absorbed from the diet. Also known as cobalamin.  

A Vitamin B12 test measures the level of B12 in the blood, which is essential for red blood cell production, nerve function, and DNA synthesis. Low levels of Vitamin B12 can indicate deficiencies that may lead to anemia, nerve damage, or cognitive issues.
