This test measures your levels of a group of hormones that have functions related to female sexual development and fertility, to check for any imbalance. Due to the many important roles these hormones have throughout the body, such imbalances can impact your health in a variety of ways such as changes to appetite, sleep patterns, and libido, as well as hair and bone loss. Female sex hormone levels change during different stages of development, such as puberty and menopause, and are also influenced by pregnancy, menstruation, stress, certain medications and environmental factors.
Sample type: Blood - Test should be undertaken during first half of the menstrual cycle
unless checking for ovulation when 21 day preferred.
