Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas that helps to control blood glucose levels. Insulin production following a meal allows absorbed glucose to be taken up by the body's cells, mainly muscle cells, to be used for energy production. Insulin also signals the liver to store remaining excess blood glucose as carbohydrate and fat. A glucose level will be performed at the same time when Insulin is requested, and this is included in the price.
